Washington Wines’ strengths are the star of the program, run by wine director Aaron Wood-Snyderman. The list also stands out in California, Italy, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhone and Oregon.
Big on Large Format The Metropolitan Grill wine list also stands out among the large-format labels. More than 150 varietals are a snapshot of the big list, including several magnum vintages from Chateau Mouton-Rothschild , Figgins and Harlan Estate .
Cooked Chef Stan Ross contributes to steakhouse classics by substituting a reserve shrimp martini cocktail with shrimp and topping scallops with poblano potatoes. The steak selection remains fairly traditional, with cuts like New York Strip, Porterhouse and filet mignon raised at local Double-R Ranch Farm.
Seattle staple In 1983, Metropolitan Grill was opened by a local family-run hotel group now run by the founder’s son, Ron Cohn. The restaurant quickly gained recognition upon opening, winning its first Outstanding Achievement Award in 1996.
